Crypto asset prices swing wildly and can go to zero

The prices of crypto assets (including but not limited to BTC, ETH, various tokens and stablecoins) swing extremely sharply, with big gains and big drops common in short periods. Some assets can go to zero due to project failure, drained liquidity, regulatory action, technical exploits and other causes. Even stablecoins that claim to be pegged to the dollar have suffered serious de-pegs. Don't assume any asset 'can't fall much further.'

Earn, staking, Dual Investment and similar products are not principal-protected

All of the yield products covered on this site — flexible savings, fixed-term savings, staking, Dual Investment, Launchpool and so on — are not principal-protected:

APY is floating and indicative, not a promised rate. The number on the product page changes with the market in real time; what you finally receive is usually lower than the ideal, and can be lower still.
Dual Investment can leave you holding the other coin. If the price hits the condition at maturity, your principal is converted into another asset; layered with that asset's price swings, the loss can be far larger than simply 'not getting the interest.'
Staking has lock-up periods and slashing risk. Unbonding takes time, during which you can't move the funds; if the underlying network slashes, the principal you staked can be reduced.
The price of Launchpool and new-coin farming rewards is unknown. A new coin you farm may drop sharply after it lists; it looks free, but it carries coin-price risk and opportunity cost.
High APY usually comes with high risk or is unsustainable. Abnormally high APYs are often backed by subsidies, Ponzi structures or contract exploits, and can cost you your entire principal.

In extreme conditions, platform risk, smart-contract risk, liquidation risk and coin-price risk can all happen at once, leaving you with a partial or total loss of principal.

Platform and third-party risk

The exchanges we mention (Binance, OKX) are independent third parties with no affiliation to this site. Their respective services, rules, fees, availability, security and compliance status can all change at any time and are outside this site's control. The exchanges themselves can also face operational, technical, regulatory or attack-related risks. Custodying assets on any centralized platform means you take on that platform's counterparty risk. Always follow the latest rules on the exchange's official pages.

Timeliness and accuracy of information

We try to keep content accurate and current, but crypto moves fast: product rules, APYs, fees and entry points can all change after we publish. This site does not guarantee that all information is still accurate, complete or up to date when you read it. For specific steps and numbers, always verify on the exchange's official pages. When we find an error, we correct it and log it in our corrections.
